True to the motto “A picture is worth a thousand words”, we have extended the photo function of Thumbify and added a scan function. Thus, Thumbify offers you the possibility to enrich all newly created documents within the Thumbify app with scanned documents and make them even more meaningful.
Automatic recognition of documents
Thumbify automatically recognizes your document with its scan function. The recognized document is first highlighted on the smartphone or tablet and then attached to the newly created form. The advantage of this function compared to the “normal” photo function is that only the captured document is saved, i.e. without the environment such as the table on which the document is located. An external scanner is therefore no longer required.
Background image upload
As soon as the scanned documents or created photos are generated, they are loaded into the Thumbify Cloud in the background. Any waiting times due to synchronization processes therefore do not affect the usability of the Thumbify app.
This function is also available in offline status. If you don’t have a network, Thumbify first saves the data locally on your device. As soon as your smartphone or tablet is connected to the Wi-Fi or mobile network again, the created photos and documents are uploaded to the cloud. The upload status is visible under Account and then Uploads.
